Exclamation What proffesion to go with? [ PvE ]

Hello,
I'm a big fan of PvE gaming in guild wars.
But I can't figure out wich character to get.
It should be an easy going, Good money earning account.
I have all Campaigns inclusive Eotn.
What profession is the best for PvE,Money Earning etc. ?
And wich campaign should I start in?
EDIT:I do Not like Mesmer Monk , Necro, Rit and warrior.

Thank you in advance!

- Note : I don't know if this is the right section, If it isn't please tell me -

youve eliminated 5 of the 10 professions lmao. Having said that i think as said above assasin is probably the best bet.

lol well, so you ask which profession but rule out half of them...

well the best is really whatever fits your style of playing and only you can answer that.

one of the strongest is necros as they have superior energy management meaning the can run almost all caster builds.

for money making either an assassin or monk would be the best. A monk is always needed in groups for healing/prot/support/smite damage etc and an assassin emits great damage through a build called "crit scythe".

But as you don't want any of those three classes... go with what you feel like playing and what you will enjoy.

remember, you have 8 character slots so you can try each profession and see which you prefer.

Ranger or Dervish. Then learn how to run and you can earn some decent money.

Actually, Ranger is considered by many to be the most versatile profession. I'd give that a whirl first.

(*psssst* If you really want to own PvE...learn to like the Necro.)

The reason I don't like
necro : No one ever told me some good build.
Monk : Because I'm not the most expiernced player people told me not to! Alltough I always wanted to be one!
Warrior : Just don't like them
Mesmer : Same as warrior.
Rit : Just doesn't fit me.

I'd like to start a monk but I don't know anything about them.
Any info? Where to start. Smite Monk? Healing Monk? PvE

Check out the Monk section in The Campfire. Also check the wiki.

Just because you haven't been "told" a good build, don't rule out not going on a particular profession because of it. You could be missing out on something good because of it.

If you wanted to try monk, by all means start Smite. Since you are new, jumping into the realms of healing or protection monking maybe boring for you or too much to ask. Then again, we all had to start somewhere. Also, if you were to create a monk, there is the opportunity to make money with it. You will come across the terms of "55", "105", "600" etc - these are particular styles of monks (the numbers are based upon the health of the build/armour setup). Look them up in these forums here or the wikis to give you a flavour (one such is this).

Hope this helps

You can't expect others to give you builds for your own benefit. If you are looking for generic builds the take a look at www.pvxwiki.com. The builds there are most definately not top of the line, but they will help you get started out. On another note, use initiative, make some builds, test them out... just use common sense when creating builds.

As far as everything else goes, it would require you to get to level 20 and in my personal opinion complete at least 1 campaign to fully decide whether or not you like or dislike a profession.

Oh... forgot about the monk. Monking takes practice, you can't expect to be the best right of the bat. It takes patience and definately time...

I really hope that this can help you...

As far as the other 5 professions, I would go with Assassin as others have said.

But the best for money making, I would have to say would be the Monk.
